Tea Pet

A tea pet (literally "tea pet" or "tea creature") is a small clay sculpture, usually an animal or mythical figure, that tea drinkers "raise" by pouring leftover tea rinse or the first steep over it during their tea sessions. Unlike a teapot, which must be carefully cleaned and dedicated to one tea, the tea pet is designed to be splashed with a variety of teas over many years.
